The freshness of the baba ghanouj and hummus adds to the love, providing delightful dips for pita or veggies. Pro tip: Don't skip the Barbican drink—it's a refreshing malt beverage that's always a hit!
Most Disliked
While the food garners high praise, some guests express concerns about the atmosphere, describing it as a bit cramped and mediocre. The seating arrangement could feel scattered during peak hours, potentially detracting from the overall dining experience. Additionally, a few diners have mentioned that menu prices aren’t clearly displayed. This can lead to surprises, especially when a meal and drink can exceed expectations, totaling around $25. Despite these minor drawbacks, most agree that the quality of food and service outweighs the shortcomings, making the experience worthwhile.

This place has the BEST Schwarma and Falafel ive ever eaten in my life! The lamb shank on the weekend sells out and it's absolutely delectable as it falls off the bone. The baba ganush is super fresh and the meat on the kabobs are super flavorful, tender and juicy! Even the French fries were great! The owners are awesome, really good people and in my personal opinion this is the best Mediterranean feast in the city! We liked it so much we have been twice in an week and a half since we first discovered this hidden gem of a spot! Pro tip - Try the Barbican to drink is a fruit infused delicious malt beverage! (no alcohol)

I stopped in here, passing through town and was pleasantly surprised. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The hummus is amazing. The salads are great, hummus is amazing, and kebabs are awesome. The sauces that came with my meal are mind blowing. When I came in the guys were closing I ordered my meal and they gave me some extra stuff that they didn’t wanna throw away. These guys are awesome. The flavor is unbelievable. The rice is delicious. Do yourself a favor come here for lunch or dinner. You won’t regret it.

I had the ribeye at Jerusalem Restaurant, and it was amazing. Cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. The seasoning was spot on, and it came out just the way I like it. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was great too. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for quality food—I’ll definitely be back!

I've been 3x now - the chicken schwarma is incredible! The sauces were really good, I especially loved the spicy sauce. My husband really loved the steak sandwich, and the falafel were perfectly cooked. They have a small counter seating area in the room where you order, but there is also an attached dining room with several tables and plenty of chairs.

Best Mediterranean food I've had so far, around Peoria! Friendly & kind service, and the taste is impossible to beat. Thank you, everybody to served me, today. I will definitely be back. 👍 *The only thing is the atmosphere is mediocre and a little cramped, & I wish they had put the prices on the menu, because I didn't realize one meal and a drink would be $25+. Still, I thought it was very worth-while experience, even if a bit pricey.

Clean, quick, friendly. The lamb shank special is a great Sunday lunch. Tender, juicy, coupled with hummus and pita. The Arabic salad fills the palate, and tops you off with rice. The desert, rich. Dining room is small, but clean and family friendly.
